VICTOR GRIGORE

Victor Grigore is a figurative painter who uses vigorous strokes of color—at times even thick impasto. He participated in hundreds of art exhibition and is a member of Union of Fine Artists of Romania from 2014.
He began drawing instinctively during his childhood, because there was little information or literature on the visual arts available in the small town where he grew up.
During childhood, he found school boring; he often skipped classes, spending his time reading, drawing, and playing sports.
He graduated from University of Art from Timisoara. During his studies, he favored an academic style of painting and explored most techniques specific to the visual arts—working in oils, acrylics, and watercolors—while simultaneously deepening his mastery of drawing techniques using charcoal, pencil, and ink.
In his paintings, Victor Grigore attempts to bring to the surface the spirit of the subject—the deepest part that exists not only in living beings but also in objects.
